Android - How to configure OpenVPN on Android devices

STEP 1

Download and install the app "OpenVPN for Android" from the links here .You can also find it on Google Play Store(formerly Android Market) by searching "OpenVPN for Android" authorized by Arne Schwabe.

STEP 2

Download openvpn config files (Click here). Extract the config file archive somewhere where you can find it later on your device, e.g. on a "openvpn" subfolder on your SD-card.

STEP 3

Run the installed App. You'll see the main menu below. Tap "VPN Profiles",some version maybe named "All your precious VPNs".

STEP 4

For now you can see "No VPN profiles defined", and the list is empty, of course.Tap the folder button.

STEP 5

Navigate to the folder where you extracted the config files before. Select the config file of the server you'd like to connect to. Taking US server 10 using TCP protocol for example.

Navigate to the folder "sdcard/openvpn/Open_TCP/".

Select config files "VIP-US10-T.ovpn" and then tap "select" below.

Tap save button.

STEP 6

Tap the settings button to config your settings.

Tap Basic.

Scroll down, you'll see the username and password field.Enter your Leafy account username and password.

For free trial users, your VPN account username and password can be found in the email you have received when you have registered free trial. For premium plan users, your VPN account username and password can be found in the email when you have paid for the Leafy account, or on our webiste "Client Area -> My Services -> View Details"..

STEP 7

Go back to the menu (your changes will be saved automatically). Tap imported profiles "VIP-US10-T". It will start to connect.

Select "trust this application" and tap OK.

Wait a few seconds. Once it shows "connected", then you're successfully connected to the VPN.
